We listened to your feedback and are improving our geocoding process. Say goodbye to geocode errors and hello to a more efficient and easier way to bind business with us.

To improve your service experience, we are updating our geocoding requirements for personal lines and IRCA in Guidewire.

We’ve listened to your feedback and are making it easier to write business with us. Effective immediately, we’re amending our geocoding process for personal property, personal auto, and IRCA in Guidewire. This change eliminates the need for manual workarounds and allows you to bind business smoothly and more quickly with us.

What you need to know

  • You’ll no longer encounter geocoding underwriting rules when entering valid civic addresses for personal property, personal auto or IRCA.
  • Please continue to enter a valid civic address (such as addresses from property tax documents or Canada Post). Avoid entering legal lot descriptions, P.O. boxes, or subdivisions in the risk address.
  • This update creates a consistent experience across personal property, personal auto and IRCA, as some policies may include both types of vehicles.

What to expect

Based on your feedback, we are removing these hurdles so you can expect a much smoother and streamlined experience. This process change will accelerate your ability to bind business with us. These system changes have already taken effect.
