Leadership Team

Richard is responsible for all information technology and document related services at Gore Mutual.  He successfully introduced a paperless environment at Gore Mutual - a Canadian first in the insurance industry.  Richard oversees data centre operations and supports all production computer systems including GoBroker™, our broker portal.  He is the visionary behind Gore Mutual's IT strategy and system architecture. 

Richard holds a MBA from Rotman at University of Toronto and an informatica engineering degree from the Netherlands.  He is a certified Project Management Professional, a Certified Scrum Master™, and has been active in updating PMI's Global Project Management Standards (PMBOK® and the Standard for Portfolio Management).  Prior to joining Gore Mutual in 1999, Richard was a project manager at Hydro One Nuclear, Toronto Transit Commission, CIBC, CIBC Insurance and Philips Electronics.  Richard never thought his engineering background would lead to a career in insurance industry. 

Richard enjoys working out at the local YMCA, coaching youth sports, volunteering, watching movies and reading non-fiction (and driving his two teenaged children to sporting events).
